Where Did Cowboy Boots Come From?
- In the 1600s, Spanish colonists brought their riding boots to the Americas, where they were adapted by Mexican vaqueros.
- Ranching expanded northward in the late 19th century, the practicality and style of these boots caught the attention of American cowboys.
- As the cattle industry grew, cowboy boots spread into Canada, becoming popular with ranchers in Alberta and British Columbia.

Our founder Everett McGowin (1941-2015) built this business on exceptional service and authentic Western products.
Having a great imagination and sense of humour, Everett filled the store with not only the best quality boots, hats, buckles, and bolo ties, but also a wide variety of Western novelty items including whips, spurs, and even rattlesnake eggs - anything to amuse his customers!
